GREEN TOMATO PICKLES 
4 qts. green tomatoes, sliced
5 lg. onions, sliced
4 green peppers, sliced
6 red peppers, sliced
2 tbsp. pickling spice, tie in a cloth
4 c. sugar
1 qt. cider vinegar

Mix all vegetables; let stand 12 hours in salt. Rinse well and drain. Add all other ingredients and boil slow until tomatoes are soft, about 30 minutes. Makes 8 pints.
