COCONUT-OATMEAL REFRIGERATOR
COOKIES
 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening, part butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 c. oatmeal (uncooked)
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 1/2 c. coconut

Sift flour, soda and salt. Cream shortening and add sugar; beat in eggs and blend in the flour mixture. Stir in nuts and coconut and oats.

Shape into 3 rolls. Wrap in waxed paper and put in refrigerator for 24 hours. Slice dough (1/4 inch slices). Bake on ungreased cookie sheets in 375 degree oven for 10 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
