1 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Food coloring

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs. Mix together dry ingredients. Blend well into creamed mixture. Separate dough into 6 pieces. Color the pieces red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet with food coloring. Form rainbows. Bake for 8 minutes.

NOTE: Children love to form the rainbows! I have used this with Child Evangelism Clubs when teaching the flood story, and it was a big success. Double the recipe for 10 children. You will need at least 4 baking sheets.
