ROLLS 
1 c. potato water
1 c. scalded sweet milk
1 c. melted shortening
1 yeast cake, dissolved in warm water
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
Flour

Mix potato water, sweet milk and shortening; let cool until lukewarm. Add egg, sugar, salt and dissolved yeast cake, mix well. Add about 2 cups of flour, beat well until it is the consistency of pancake mixture. Cover and keep in warm place 1 hour.
