RUM BALLS 
2 1/2 c. vanilla wafers, finely crushed
1 c. coconut (optional)
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. nuts, finely chopped
3 tbsp. Karo syrup
1/4 c. rum (Bourbon or Brandy)

Combine vanilla wafers, powdered sugar, cocoa, and nuts. Mix corn syrup and rum, add to vanilla wafer mixture. Shape into 1 inch balls, roll in powdered sugar. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
