SUGAR COATED PEANUTS
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
2 c. shelled, raw peanuts with skins on

Preheat oven to 275 to 300 degrees. Combine sugar and water in large saucepan over medium heat until sugar is melted. Add peanuts and mix. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until all the sugar mixture is completely absorbed by nuts. Place in ungreased cookie sheet with sides on (preferably a large square roasting pan). Stir with a large spoon at 5 minutes or less intervals for a total of 30 minutes. If not stirred as directed, they will get too hard to stir and will burn. Store in container with a lid on top after they are completely cool. This recipe can be doubled but is a little harder to stir.
