CRANBERRY BREAD 
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. raw cranberries, cut in half

Cream together sugar, shortening and egg. Add orange juice, soda, baking powder, salt. Stir, then add cranberries. Then add flour. Stir until moist.

Bake at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean about 30 to 40 minutes.
