GARLIC DILL PICKLES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 pt. white vinegar
1/3 c. salt

Cut pickles in halves. Let stand in ice water for 2 hours. Place some garlic and dill in bottom of jar (use amount you think you would like). Place pickles in jars. Heat the above syrup to boiling and pour over pickles. Seal jars and process for 5 minutes in boiling water bath. Makes approximately 2 quarts.
