CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES 
1 pkg. German sweet chocolate
5 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. plus 1 tbsp. unsifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Melt chocolate plus 3 tablespoons butter and cool. Cream remaining butter with cream cheese; add 1/4 cup sugar. Blend 1 egg, 1 tablespoon flour, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla; set aside. Beat remaining eggs; add remaining 3/4 cup sugar and beat. Add baking powder, salt, and remaining 1/2 cup flour. Blend in chocolate, nuts, almond extract, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Spread some of chocolate batter in a greased pan; top with cream cheese mixture. Marble in remaining chocolate mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and store in refrigerator.
