DUTCH MEATLOAF 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1/2 can tomato sauce
1 c. fresh bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 can tomato sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar or molasses
2 tbsp. mustard
1 c. water
2 tbsp. vinegar

Mix first 7 ingredients; form into loaf. Place in shallow pan in moderate oven (350 degrees). Meanwhile, combine rest of ingredients to make sauce. Pour sauce over loaf; bake about 1 hour more, basting at least once. Serve with noodles. Garnish with apple slices. Serves 4-6.
