FLOUR TORTILLAS 
3 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. oil
1 1/2 c. warm water

Mix flour and all the ingredients in a large bowl except for water. Add water gradually, stirring constantly, until mixture cleans side of bowl and forms a ball. Knead until smooth about 5 minutes. Divide into 16 equal pieces. Shape each piece into smooth ball. Roll from center toward edge, turning tortilla 1/4 turn until it measures 7 inches in diameter.

Cook tortillas on ungreased hot griddle, until brown spots form on bottom 10-12 seconds (tortilla will puff with bubbles). Turn tortillas over and cook other side for 20-30 seconds. Do the same for remaining tortillas. Wrap tortillas in foil paper when finished.
