CRANBERRY CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. milk
2 c. whole cranberries (raw)

Blend dry ingredients and shortening with pastry blender. Add milk and cranberries. Stir until all flour mixture is moistened. Bake in greased and floured 8"x8" pan at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

BUTTER SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. cream (half & half)

Cook 10 minutes over moderate heat. Pour warm over cake just before serving.
