COMPANY STYLE SWEET PICKLES 
7 lbs. cucumbers, sliced
2 c. lime (pickling lime)
2 gallons water
2 quarts vinegar
4 1/2 lbs. sugar
1 tbsp. celery seeds
1 tbsp. pickling spice
1 tbsp. whole cloves
1 tbsp. salt

Mix 2 cups lime in 2 gallons of water. Pour over sliced cucumbers. Soak for 24 hours. Then rise well and cover with ice water for 3 hours. Then allow to drain well.

Cover with vinegar, sugar, celery seed, pickling spice, cloves and salt. Let stand overnight in syrup. Next morning boil 30 minutes and pack in sterilized jars.
