Allow 30 minutes per pound at 325 degrees. Use large turkey master with lid. Enough cold water to fill roaster 1/2 full. Clean bird. Turn on stomach and salt. Rub salt into all parts of bird, inside as well as out. Salt liver, heart and gizzard. Put in dry roaster. Tie legs. Place giblet parts in bird (heart, lizard and gizzard). Salt again. Add cold water. Must have enough water for dressing and gravy. Roast turkey breast down for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Turn, roast breast up balance of time. Bird and dressing should be at room temperature before cooking. 8-12 pounds 12-16 pounds 16-20 pounds HOURS: 4-4 1/2 hours 4 1/2-5 1/2 hours 5 1/2-7 hours
