CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
1 c. softened butter
2 c. sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. baking soda
5 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar. Add oil, vanilla and eggs. Mix until creamy. Add cream of tartar and baking soda. Beat well. Mix in 1 cup of flour at a time. Refrigerate overnight.

Heat oven to 300 degrees. Make shapes to ice or divide dough in half. Color one half red and the other green. Roll out. Lay on top of one another and roll up. Slice cookie roll and bake or roll balls in sugar and cinnamon and flatten on cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes.
