3 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. softened butter 1 slightly beaten egg 3 tbsp. cream or milk Sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder into a large bowl. Add butter, cut into flour mixture until particles are fine. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Blend thoroughly. Place 1/3 dough on floured board, sprinkled with flour and roll with rolling pin to 1/8" thickness. Cut with cutter. Bake 5 to 8 minutes or until light brown on an ungreased cookie sheet. When cool, decorate with Jiffy frosting. Makes 1 to 6 dozen. Bake at 400 degrees. |
