VANILLA PUDDING 
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
2 3/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Chill. Makes 2 1/2 cups and provides 168 calories per serving.
