VANILLA DIVINITY CANDY 
3 2/3 c. granulated sugar
2/3 c. corn syrup
2/3 c. water
2 egg whites
1 c. nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt

Cook sugar, syrup, water and salt in saucepan. Do not stir after sugar is dissolved. Cook until boiling syrup, when dropped from spoon into a bowl of cold water forms a very hard almost brittle ball (265 degrees F. by candy thermometer).

Remove from fire, pour in a thin stream over stiffly beaten egg whites, while beating constantly. Beat until it holds its shape. Add vanilla and nuts; stir well. Pour into lightly buttered pan when cool. Cut into squares.
