CHOCOLATE PIES 
2 c. sugar
7 tbsp. flour
4 tbsp. cocoa
Pinch salt
6 eggs, separated (save the whites for meringue)
4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla (added after cooked)

Cook all ingredients except vanilla in top of double boiler until thick. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour in baked pie shells. Beat egg whites, after adding 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar, until stiff. Put on pies and bake. This makes 1 large or 2 small pies.
