PRONTO PUPS 
1 lb. frankfurters, 8-10
1/2 c. cornmeal
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Mix all dry ingredients together. Add egg and milk; beat with a rotary beater until smooth. Dip franks in batter and fry in hot deep fat, turning to brown both sides. Drain on paper toweling. Serve hot. (Heat franks first and dry before dipping in batter.)
