HIDDEN SURPRISE BURGERS | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs 1/4 c. ketchup 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. onion salt 5 pieces cheese (1 1/2 x 1/4 inch) 1 (9.5 oz.) can Pillsbury refrigerated Hungry Jack flaky or flaky buttermilk biscuits Milk Poppy seeds or sesame seeds Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, ketchup, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and onion salt in mixing bowl. Divide into 10 equal portions. Flatten each into a 4 inch circle on waxed paper. Place a piece of cheese in center of 5 patties. Place remaining 5 patties on top of cheese. Pinch edges together well to seal in cheese. Smooth edges to make 4 inch patties. Open can of biscuits; separate dough into 10 biscuits. On ungreased cookie sheet, pat 5 biscuits to make 5 inch circles. Place a patty on top of each; moisten edges with milk. Press out remaining biscuits - stretch over patty and seal to bottom crust. Pinch together well; brush with milk. Sprinkle with seeds. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet immediately. Let cool for 10 minutes before eating. May use any of your favorite filling instead of or with cheese. |
