1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb. ground fresh pork (sausage) 5 slices fresh white bread, no crusts, tear into sm. pieces 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 eggs, lightly beaten 2 c. milk 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom or celery soup 1 c. water Mix ground beef, ground pork, and bread. Add salt and pepper; mix again. Add eggs and milk; mix again. (This will be soupy.) Melt 3 tablespoons Crisco in skillet. Drop meat mixture into skillet by teaspoon. It will flatten and look like mini hamburgers. Brown well on both sides. (At this point, can freeze for later.) Place all browned meat in baking dish. Mix soup and water. Pour over meat. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
