CHOCOLATE ANGEL STRATA | |
2 egg whites 1/2 c. sugar Bake 9-inch pie shell 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten 1/4 c. water 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi- sweet chocolate, melted 1/4 c. sugar 1 c. whipping cream Beat egg whites until soft mounds are formed; add sugar gradually and beat until meringue stands in glossy peaks. Spread over bottom of baked pie shell. Bake at 325 degrees until lightly browned. Cool. Mix egg yolks and water and add to melted chocolate. Mix well and spread 3 tablespoons over cooled meringue. Chill rest of chocolate mixture. Combine sugar with whipping cream; beat until thick. Spread half over chocolate in pie shell. Combine remaining cream with cooled chocolate mixture. Spread over whipped cream in pie shell. Chill 4 hours. SCRUMPTIOUS!!! |
