BACON-CHEDDAR PINWHEELS
20 slices white sandwich bread (trim crusts)
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1/4 c. prepared mustard
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 lbs. sliced bacon
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Roll bread flat with rolling pin; set aside. In small bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Cut bacon slices in half; and lay 3 halves closely together (just touching) on flat surface; place bread on top and spread with one rounded tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk mixture. Sprinkle 1 generous tablespoon of cheese on top. Roll bacon around bread jelly-roll fashion; secure each bacon piece with toothpick. Repeat procedure; chill.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. With sharp knife, make 3 pinwheels by carefully cutting between each bacon strip. Bake on broiler tray for 30 minutes or until bacon is done. Refrigerate any leftovers. (May be made ahead of time, cut before baking.)

I have made these several times over the past 2 years or so. Everytime I make them people go nuts over them. I made them for New Year's & they were gone in minutes. This takes a little time to prepare but it's worth it!

My mother has made this a CLEAR staple in our holiday array of appetizers. THEY'RE AMAZING!! And as the other reviews have said, they are literally gone in minutes. These little gems are irresistable and no other bacon pinwheel recipe comes close to this one.
