SAUSAGE PIE | |
1 pkg pizza dough or crescent roll dough 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 cup milk 3/4 lb. sweet or hot Italian sausage (remove casing/crumble) 1 cup shredded cheese, mozzarella or pizza mixture 1/2 cup chopped onions 3 cloves garlic, minced salt/pepper Place/press dough into a pie or round cake pan that has been brushed with olive oil. In a skillet with olive oil, sauté sausage, onions and garlic, drain. Beat eggs, milk, cheese, salt and pepper and pour over the sausage. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 35 minutes or until a custard forms. Allow to sit for 30 minutes undisturbed in open oven. Cool and slice into wedges. |
