GRANNY'S CORNBREAD 
2 c. cornmeal, self-rising
1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. bacon grease
Buttermilk
1 lg. iron skillet
1 tbsp. bacon grease or lard

Melt tablespoon bacon grease or lard in iron skillet. Mix in large bowl cornmeal, flour and tablespoon bacon grease or lard. Add buttermilk just enough to stir easy. Pour into hot skillet and bake in oven until brown.
