SPICY BARBECUED BEEF 
1 1/2 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. catsup
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. cloves
12 thin slices cooked beef, cut into strips
Hamburger buns

Saute onion in butter until tender. Add catsup, sugar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper and cloves. Simmer over low flame 30 minutes. Stir in beef; simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Serve on buns. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
