CHRISTMAS CAKE 
3/4 lb. of butter
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
4 c. flour
1/2 c. whiskey
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. vanilla or 1 each of vanilla and lemon
1 lb. pecans
1/2 lb. each of red and green pineapple and red and green cherries

Cream butter and sugar and eggs one at a time beating thoroughly after each addition. Add baking powder, flour and salt which have been sifted together. Add whisky and vanilla. Add fruit which have been mixed with 3/4 cup of flour and bake in slow 250 degree oven for 2 1/2 hours.
