GINGER COOKIES 
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. dark Brer Rabbit Molasses
1 egg
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda

Mix shortening, sugar, molasses, egg, salt, and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Mix and chill dough. Make into small balls; dip top in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees on greased cookie sheet 7-9 minutes. Take out before done. Will crinkle on top.
