DIAN'S EASY COBBLER
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1 can Comstock pie filling, any kind (blueberry is very good)
1 pkg. butter yellow cake mix
1 stick butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Cool Whip or whipped cream or ice cream

Spray 9 x 13 x 2 Pyrex baking dish with Pam. Melt butter. Put pineapple, juice and all in bottom of dish. Add pie filling and stir around in pineapple. Sprinkle cake mix over all, then drizzle melted butter over cake mix. Puncture through cake mix with knife so juice can come up. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. After cobbler has been in oven, about 20 minutes, puncture again so juices can rise. Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.

 John S. Lane (Philippines) says:
I just made your cobbler, in fact it's still cooling. So I sneaked a dish. Really good. I used that recipe because I only had one can of cherries and saw that I could use pineapple. Lots of similar recipes but this is the one that I will use. I'm a retired US Marine, 77 years, living in the Philippines.
