GRILLED ITALIAN SAUSAGE | |
3 lbs. Sweet or hot Italian sausage Water Prepare grill as manufacturer directs. In large skillet, place sausage and water to cover. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Drain and cut sausage into 3 to 4 pieces. Grill 6 inch from heat source for 10 to 13 minutes, turning occasionally, until no pink color remains. Place sausage on large platter. Keep warm. Four servings. PEPPER AND ONION SAUTE: 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 3 lbs. onions, each cut into 4 wedges 3 lbs. red, green or yellow bell peppers In large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions and peppers. Cook, stirring occasionally until vegetables are tender. Arrange with grilled sausage on platter. Four servings. |
