3 1/2 c. peeled apples, coarsely chopped
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. oil
1 c. raisins
Confectioners' sugar

Place apples in large bowl. Add sugar, let stand 10 minutes. Sift dry ingredients together. Blend oil and eggs into apple mixture. Add dry ingredients. Mix well together. Fold in raisins and nuts.

Spread into well greased pan (also floured) 9 x 13 inch. Bake 50-55 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle confectioners' sugar on cooled cake.
