1/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg
6 tbsp. orange marmalade
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream shortening, add sugar gradually, creaming until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Fold in marmalade.

Sift flour, baking powder and salt and add to creamed mixture, mixing well.

Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet.

Bake in moderate oven (375°F) for 8 to 10 minutes.

Makes 3 to 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
