HOT FUDGE SUNDAY PUDDING CAKE 
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 3/4 c. hot water
Spices as desired: Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger

Combine first 8 ingredients and spices. Stir until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread mixture into lightly greased 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa.

Pour boiling water over mixture (DO NOT STIR). Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Cut into squares and serve with ice cream while still hot.
