BUTTER PECAN TURTLE BARS 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. packed light brown sugar
2 c. unsifted all purpose flour
1 c. pecan halves
2/3 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1 c. Hershey's milk chocolate chips

Beat 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup brown sugar and flour into large mixer bowl until consistency of fine crumbs. Press crumb mixture firmly into an ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle pecans over the top; set aside. Combine 2/3 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar in heavy small sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil and stir 1 minute; pour over pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes or until set. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Cool in pan. Cut into bars.
