BUTTER PECAN TURTLE BARS 
Crust:

2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. soft butter

Mix and press in ungreased 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle 1 cup pecan halves over unbaked crust.

Caramel Layer:

2/3 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar

Cook Caramel Layer until ready to boil. Boil 1/2 minute. Pour over crust and pecans.

Bake 18 to 22 minutes in 325°F oven. Then take out of oven and sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips over bars. When chips are soft, spread with knife.

Note: Put foil over pan for a while; the chips melt faster this way and you can spread the chips faster.
