CHEESE LAYER:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
1 3/4 c. pecan halves

PECAN SYRUP LAYER:

3 eggs
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. light corn syrup

As it bakes, the pie layers switch places!

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In medium bowl, with electric mixer at medium, combine cheese layer ingredients. Pour into crust; cover with pecans. In medium bowl, with electric mixer at medium, combine syrup layer ingredients. Pour over pecans. Bake 35 to 40 minutes until filling is firm. Serves 10.
