HARVARD BEETS | |
1 can sliced beets 1 tbsp. flour or cornstarch 2 tbsp. sugar 3 tbsp. white vinegar Drain beets and save juice. Mix flour or cornstarch and sugar together; add vinegar slowly, stirring to prevent lumps. Add beet juice and cook over low heat until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Add the beet slices, simmer until they are thoroughly hot. |
