BROWN SUGAR HARVARD BEETS 
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. vinegar
1 (No. 2) can diced or sliced beets, reserving 1/4 c. juice

Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a saucepan. Add the vinegar and beet juice, stirring well, until mixed. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Add beets to the sauce and serve hot.
