HOLIDAY FRAGRANCE 
1/2 c. orange rind
1/2 c. lemon rind (or other citrus fruit rinds)
1/4 c. cloves
1 stick of cinnamon
2 bay leaves

Cook with at least 2 cups of water. Syrup from pickled fruits may be added. Allow to simmer as long as "holiday fragrance" is desired. Additional water may be added.
