FRESH STRAWBERRY DESSERT 
3 pints fresh strawberries, washed and hulled. Cut berries in half (they will be sweeter).

2 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. butter
Dash of salt

Cut together ingredients. Put in 9 by 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes until lightly browned. Cool.

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. cold water
3 tbsp. cornstarch

Mix then simmer until thick. Remove from heat. Add 1 package strawberry Jello, dash of salt, 3 tablespoons butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla and a few drops of food coloring. Stir until cool. Pour over berries. Stir to coat berries.

Pour into crust.

Top with Cool Whip. Garnish with berries.
