POTATO ROLLS | |
3 c. white potatoes 1 1/2 qt. flour 2 tbsp. salt 2/3 c. butter 1 c. water in which potatoes were cooked 2 eggs 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. Fleischmann's yeast Cook white potatoes and mash. Add butter, sugar, salt, eggs and dissolve yeast in cup of lukewarm potato water. Let rise until light. Have ready 1 1/2 quart of flour. Make into dough and let rise until double in bulk. Make into rolls, put into greased pans so they will not touch so they brown well. Let rise until light and bake in hot 400 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. |
