GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE 
1 (16 oz.) can French green beans, drained
1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel white corn, drained
1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 can cream of celery soup
1/4 c. sour cream
1/4 c. cottage cheese
1 med. onion, chopped
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese

TOPPING:

1/2 c. melted butter
1 pkg. (individual roll) crackers
Garlic powder, salt & pepper to taste
1 pkg. slivered almonds (optional)

First Layer - Green beans.

Second Layer - Corn.

Third Layer - Water chestnuts.

Combine the next 4 ingredients and spread over water chestnuts to form fourth layer. Sprinkle grated cheese over chestnuts; crush crackers and add butter and seasoning. Sprinkle almonds over topping. Bake 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 6.

Note: 1/2 cup sour cream may be used in place of 1/4 cup cottage cheese and 1/4 cup sour cream.
