SWEET-SOUR MEATBALLS 
5 slices dry bread
2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten

Cut bread in fine cubes. Combine with remaining ingredients. Shape in 1 1/2 inch balls. Place on jelly roll pan. Bake at 450 degrees for 15-18 minutes. While baking meatballs, make sweet-sour sauce. 1/2 to 3/4 c. brown sugar, depending on desired sweetness 1/4 c. vinegar 1/2 tsp. salt 10 ginger snaps, crushed

Combine all ingredients. Cook to boiling. Add baked meatballs and simmer 10 minutes. Makes enough sauce for 36 meatballs.
