FRENCH BEANS AND ONIONS 
8 slices bacon, cut into 1/4 in. pieces
1 sm. onion, thinly sliced
16 oz. frozen French style green beans
1/2 c. water
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
Dash of pepper
1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese

In a large skillet, brown bacon and onion. Drain fat and stir in beans and water. Cook, covered, over medium heat about 10 minutes. Mix in remaining ingredients except cheese. Simmer for 5 minutes. Top with cheese and cook until melted. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
