CHERRY COBBLER 
3 c. sour cherries
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk

Pour flour and sugar over cherries and place in oven to be cooking while preparing dough. (Or microwave for 10 minutes while preparing dough.)

Sift flour, baking powder, sugar. Mix butter in, add milk. Roll out dough about 1 inch thick (make it the size of baking dish). Stir cherries and place dough on top of the cherries. Bake 25 minutes at 425 degrees or until golden brown.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

I used the first picking from our sour cherry tree and this cobbler was amazing! I added about 1/4 almond extract to cherries before baking. This will be a new summer favorite.
