MINT MERINGUE COOKIES | |
2 egg whites 1/8 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract Green food coloring 6 oz. chocolate chips Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar until frothy. Keep beating and gradually add sugar and then extract. Add coloring drop by drop until mixture is mint green. Add chocolate chips. Put wax paper onto cookie sheet. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Preheat oven to 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Put cookie sheet into oven. Turn oven off, leaving cookies inside at least 6 hours or overnight. |
