SWEET AND SOUR PORK | |
1 1/2 lb. pork (loin or cutlets) 1 c. water 1 (20 1/2 oz.) can pineapple chunks 1/4 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. vinegar 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1/2 lg. green pepper, cut in strips 1 lg. onion, cut in strips Brown 1 1/2 pounds pork loin or cutlets, cut in strips. Stir in 1 cup water. Add 1 chicken bouillon cube and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Drain pineapple and reserve liquid. Mix 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1/4 cup vinegar and 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Cook until bubbly. Stir in pineapple. Add pepper and onion; cook until vegetables are done. Add over meat. |
