SALISBURY STEAK 
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 tbsp. grated onion
1 egg, beaten
Salt and pepper to taste
Melted butter

Combine all ingredients, except butter, mixing thoroughly. On buttered, shallow baking pan, mold meat into oval shapes, making them about 1 1/4 inch thick. Brush with melted butter. Place in oven; bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees. Bake about 25 minutes longer. Brush with melted butter, a few times while baking. Slide onto platter carefully with a spatula.
