GINGERBREAD COOKIES 
1/3 c. softened butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2/3 c. molasses
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger

Combine butter, brown sugar, egg and molasses. Mix together flour, soda, salt and spices. Add together and blend well. Chill dough. Roll out 1/4" thick. Cut into shapes. Place 1" apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
